Message to Address Racism

Like so many, we are overcome with sadness and anger by the inequalities and absence of justice facing people of color, especially Black communities across America. Holy Family Day Home has a long legacy of providing a safe haven for the most vulnerable in our community.

COVID-19 has disproportionately targeted communities of color. The virus has laid bare the disparities in access to healthcare, education, and food and economic instability that have long existed in this nation. And now, amidst the pandemic, we are faced with the senseless murders of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, and Breonna Taylor. Their murders are only the most recent examples of the pervasive racial divisions and hostility that has tragically existed since the birth of our nation.

We pray for those that have lost their lives, their families and for strength during this fragile time.

If we have learned anything from COVID-19, it’s that we are all part of the human race, and we are all in this together.  As a community, we must come together and stand up against racism, bigotry, and hate.

Holy Family Day Home will continue to be a safe haven for the most vulnerable, providing affordable, high quality, early childhood education and family support services in a stable and nurturing environment.
