Educating children. Empowering families. Enriching community.

Comprehensive family support services

Holy Family Day Home offers a wide range of support services, such as access to a Case Manager, a free weekly farmer’s market, educational workshops and support groups, because we know that empowering the entire family is the best way to uplift our children.

Family partnerships: healthy families, healthy children

Through our Coming Home Family Support Center and our Community Health Program, we offer an array of comprehensive support services to all of our families to provide the tools and knowledge that can build a stronger foundation for a healthy lifestyle.

Coming Home Family Support Services

We support families based on their needs and goals. Services may include:

  • Triple P parenting classes, public and private elementary school preview nights, and life-skills assistance, including resume writing assistance and nutrition classes
  • Access to our free, weekly farmer’s market
  • Medical, legal, and housing advocacy
  • Access to counseling and resource referrals through our bilingual Case Managers

Community Health Advocacy

Through our Health and Nutrition Coordinator, we help our children and families stay healthy and happy through a number of readily available services. Each family has access to the following:

  • Age appropriate dental, lead, vision, and hearing screenings for each child
  • Immunization tracking
  • Coordination with our chef to ensure that each meal meets nutritional guidelines and accommodates dietary restrictions
  • Medical coverage referrals and assistance
  • Nutrition lessons taught seasonally in the classrooms through our Harvest of the Month activities
  • Planning two meals and two snacks in accordance with the California Adult Child Food Program

Alumni Services

To ensure that our families know HFDH is truly a home away from home, even after their children have graduated to the next steps of their educational careers, we started an Alumni Services program.  Alumni services, include, farmer's market, therapy, resource and referral, and counseling with a case manager. As we grow this aspect of our programming, we hope to broaden the services offered, and open our doors to other families.
